A truly handmade product
From our small lab in Portland, Oregon, every cable is hand-braided, every connection hand-soldered, and every step carefully inspected. It’s a slow, deliberate process—one that allows for true artistry, deep attention to detail, and pride in the work we send out into the world. Where others rely on machine braiding or outsourcing, we always stay hands-on.
Hand-braiding ensures precise alignment and phase consistency, resulting in lower resistance, reduced noise, and a more coherent sound. You’re not just buying a fully handmade product—you’re hearing the difference that care, experience, and intention make.

LN-2 cryogenic process
Our cryogenic process is rooted in decades of real-world engineering. Jena Labs Co-Founders Jennifer & Michael Crock developed and applied true liquid-nitrogen immersion techniques while working on classified military and NASA programs at Watkins & Johnson, building zero-failure microwave, antenna, and spacecraft systems for deep-space missions.
That hands-on experience—along with NASA-certified fabrication practices—forms the foundation of the methods we use today. This is why our process goes beyond “cryo” claims: it’s purpose-built, self-developed, and proven where performance is non-negotiable.
What we do

Every cable we craft and component we use undergoes true liquid-nitrogen cryogenic immersion as a standard part of production—not an optional upgrade, and not a shortcut. Our process goes far beyond so-called “dry cryo” or vapor chilling used elsewhere.
We slowly bring each conductor down through extreme temperatures, then fully immerse it in medical-grade liquid nitrogen at approximately -320°F, with super-cooled conditions reaching even colder. This deep, controlled immersion is essential—and rare.
Why it matters

At these temperatures, metals physically change. Conductors contract, crystal boundaries align more precisely, and internal stresses are relieved. The result is lower noise, improved conductivity, greater mechanical stability, and a structure that remains stable at room temperature.

Why few do it this way
—
True liquid-nitrogen immersion is expensive,
time-intensive, and dangerous if done improperly. The process takes days—not hours—and requires specialized equipment, rigorous safety protocols, and years of experience. We do it because the musical benefits are unmistakable.
Dry ice, refrigeration, or vapor-only treatments are not cryogenics. Only full liquid-nitrogen immersion reaches the temperatures required to permanently improve the behavior of metallic conductors.
We’ve done it this way for decades—because physics matters, and music deserves it.

Our components
Every component we use is selected with intention. From our custom Cryo-treated Ultra Wire we use in all of our products, to premium parts by Neutrik, Hubbell, and Cardas, to the materials we source and test in-house, each element is chosen for how it contributes to the overall musical experience—not just its specs on paper. We listen, measure, refine, and listen again. Years of dedicated research, hands-on experimentation, and significant investment have gone into developing these products.
The result is a system built from the best, most musically compatible components available—designed to work together seamlessly and perform at the highest level for years to come.
